## 🔀 How to Merge Two Pinterest Boards

Merging moves every pin from one board into another, then removes the emptied board.

### Steps

1. Open the board you want to **merge away** (the one that will disappear)
2. Click the **✏️ edit / settings** icon
3. Look for **Merge** (sometimes under a "..." menu)
4. Choose the **destination board**
5. Confirm

1. Open the board
2. Click the **✏️ edit / settings** icon
3. Scroll to the bottom → **Delete board**
4. Confirm

Worth doing once or twice a year.

### 1. See what you've actually got

The board cards show **last pin date, pin count, followers, and collaborator count** together, which makes dormant boards obvious immediately.

### 2. Sort them into four piles

### "My Pinterest board disappeared"

Possible causes, in order of likelihood:

1. **You made it secret** and forgot — check your profile's secret boards
2. **It was merged** into another board
3. **A group board owner removed you** as a contributor
4. **Pinterest removed it** for a policy issue — check for a notification
5. **You're on the wrong account** — many people have two without realising

### "Board not found" when opening a link

The board was deleted, made secret, or the owner's account was deactivated. Nothing recoverable from your side.

### "I can't find the merge option"

Pinterest moves this control between the edit dialog and the "..." menu depending on version. If it isn't there, move pins manually: open the board, bulk-select pins, and move them to the destination.

### "I deleted a board by mistake"

Pinterest doesn't offer board recovery. If you have a downloaded backup you can re-upload, but followers and engagement are gone.

### "I can't merge a group board"

Collaborative boards have restrictions, and generally only the owner can perform destructive actions. Contact the owner.
