"The bot doesn't respond"

  • Make sure you typed the /pin command before the URL

  • Check the Pinterest URL is valid (starts with pinterest.com/pin/ or pin.it/)

  • Tap Start if you haven't activated the bot

"The bot ignores my message in a group"

In groups, you must use /pin@sortpin_bot (with the @ mention). Without it, the bot won't see your message.

"The video has no audio"

Some Pinterest videos are uploaded as silent files (animated GIFs converted to MP4). If the original has no sound, neither will the download.

"Can I download from private boards via the bot?"

The bot can only access public pins that don't require login. For private boards, use the Chrome Extension while logged into Pinterest.
