## 🚀 3-Step Method

### Step 1 — Collect Pinners Only

Open the SortPin panel → **Collect** tab → **Smart Collect**, and set the toggles:

| Collection | Setting | Why |
| ------------------------- | -------- | ------------------------------ |
| 👥 **Pinners Collection** | ✅ **On** | This is the lead data you need |
| 📌 Pins Collection | ❌ Off | Not needed for lead building |
| 📁 Boards Collection | ❌ Off | Not needed for lead building |

> ⚡ **This step matters more than people expect.** Collecting pins and boards you'll never use bloats the local database and makes the dashboard slow to query. Pinners-only keeps it fast. See [why](/displaying-data-slowly.md#-the-best-long-term-fix-collect-only-what-you-need).

Now open a Pinterest search results page or board in your niche and let the page scroll. You can scroll manually, or use the **Scroll Button** (SortPin panel → **General** tab) to automate it.

* Collection happens **in the background** — you don't start a separate job
* ☕ Go grab a coffee while it runs

### Step 2 — Open the SortPin Pinners Tab

Once collection is done, click the **SortPin icon** in the middle-left of your screen → click **🏠 home** → select **Pinners**.

### Step 3 — Open the Lead tab and Export CSV

The **All Pinners** dashboard splits collected pinners into three tabs:

| Tab | Contains |
| -------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- |
| 📋 **All** | Every pinner collected |
| 💲 **Partner** | Pinners identified as business or partner accounts |
| 👥 **Lead** | ⭐ **Pinners with contactable details — this is your list** |

Click the **Lead** tab, then **Export CSV**.

> 🎯 **Don't export from "All".** The Lead tab is already filtered to pinners with usable contact data. Exporting everything gives you a much larger file that's mostly unusable rows.

The downloaded file contains:

* 📧 Active Pinterest email addresses
* 👤 Pinner names
* 🔗 Profile links
* 🎯 All filtered to your **niche**

✅ **Done!** Use this list for your email marketing campaigns.

## ⚡ Adjusting Collection Speed

The speed depends on how fast Pinterest loads detailed pin info — which depends on **your internet connection**.

### Recommendations:

Set the delay in the SortPin panel → **General** tab → **Scroll Button** → **Delay (seconds)**.

| Internet Speed | Recommended Delay |
| ----------------------- | ----------------- |
| 🟢 Fast (50+ Mbps) | **10 seconds** |
| 🟡 Average (10-50 Mbps) | **12 seconds** ⭐ |
| 🔴 Slow (< 10 Mbps) | **15-20 seconds** |

> ⚠️ **Going much lower risks rate limiting.** Pinner details load progressively, so too short a delay means SortPin captures incomplete records — you get more rows with less usable data.

## 💡 Pro Tips

1. 🎯 **Target buyer-intent boards** — search niche keywords + "shop", "buy", "products"
2. 📊 **Quality over quantity** — 100 highly targeted emails beat 10,000 random ones
3. 📧 **Warm up your sending domain** — start with small batches to avoid spam filters
4. ✍️ **Personalize first sends** — reference Pinterest topic for higher open rates
5. 🛡️ **Always include unsubscribe** — comply with email marketing laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR)
